I am sure you have never been to Greece, you are just a victim of your State's propaganda.
Greeks are just any European: Hairy and not, have brown/black/blonde hair, and brown, green and blue eyes.

Not all Greeks, dear. My husband doesn't have any kind of hair on his chest or his legs.
So, I've found you ONE Greek that isn't hairy.

The hair helps keep in sweat so it cools them off. But they really don't have that much hair, now an indian such as myself, we are hairy, we are gods punchline i.e. guys check this out, I'm going to stick these guys in the hottest place on earth, and just for fun, I'll cover them with hair!

MOST GREEKS OVER 40 are hairy because they're too old to change their habits and start waxing! lol! :)
