Come on. We are not talking about the Russian tourists.

I will recommend you to walk around in Aksaray, Laleli area after 10pm next time. Then you will see why they have a bad reputation.
Additional to what I said:
If they want to work as a prostutide, no problem. But unfortunately they are not working legally which means no health control, no tax. Turkish government are sending 100s of Russian women back to their country because of HIV they carry. But they keep on coming back.
Regarding the nationality, yes most from Ukraine and Moldova. Russian ones are more precisious which means more than 100 USD.
To the people who thinks that we are jealous of Russian women. Believe me most of the Turkish women are very well educated and have a career. Why should we be jealous of prostutides.

I went to Russia two times, and to the Ukraine twice, and found the Russian women, wonderful. They were so very nice, educated, and very attractive. I think there must be old hate between Russia and Turkey. I think the Russian ladies are wonderful, but I did end up marrying a good old American Lady.

well turkey and russia are old enemies and rivals, an their cultures are too diferent, turkey is from the islamic world and Russia an orthodox salvic country. Russia took crimea from the turks ans well russia think that their're the succesor on the byzantine empire destroyed by the turks. The russian women are beautiful and are know for be sweet and well educated( a good thing of the commuist past). They got bad reputation when the economic crisis made that many russian women felt in prostitution and tried to scape from their country in easy wedding services. As you should know the beauty can be an awful curse if you are in a bad eviroment or in a bad age.

Well the fact is that many young and attractive Russian women go to Turkey for vacation of sea, sun and... sex :-) They are not some kind of bitches, just ordinary hard working girls, who have only 2 weeks a year to relax and party hard. And have alot of sex as well :-)

Russian and Eastern European women are sent to Turkey as sex slaves. Russian prostitutes are very famous in Turkey.
And because of the silly generalizations people think bad things about Russians and their women.

Also many Turks are angry at Russia because of Chechen conflict.

The answer is very simple - turkish man speak so bad about russian girls because they have no chance to get closer to normal russian girl (I dont speak about prostitutes).

Well according to what I know, in area where I live (ex-Yugoslavia), all of prostitutes were from ex Soviet republics, but none of them were Russian: they were mostly from Ukraine and Moldavia, but people always called them Russian. Why? Because Russia is best-known republic of Soviet union and synonym for it, which is probably case in Turkey too. And of course, those comments are very malicious: No matter that prostitutes here come from Ukraine and Moldavia, I still don't think that all women from there are whores. Those women were usually victims of human trafficking, and naive. They were also very poor and mafia promised them that they will work as models abroad, and than force them to prostitution.
Plus, russian people in general are far more beautiful and mannered than turkish, so that could be one more reason.

Turkish women are jealous!! Russian women are the best in the world. They have it all over the American women. They are still women. I mean that they are "ALL" feminine. They are also very strong minded and strong willed too. They stand next to their man till the end. Well mostly. If I ever get married again, I will go and find me a Russian woman, no questions asked and no hesitation.

As soon as a pretty Russian girl comes to Turkey she gets a lot of attention from local men but if she says NO to them they start spreading bad stories about her and all our girls in general. One of my friends told me about a hotel manager from Turkey who first called her Angel and used all his language skills to speak sweetly to her in Russian but when she refused to be with him he called her a b**** and started swearing to her.

A few bad people have spoiled everything for those who are good.
When my mother-in-law was angry with me she compared me to a Russian bride (mail-order). It hurt my feelings, and it also shock me because I did not realize that many ecuadorians had problems with russian brides...(the world really is becoming more small) We are friendly now but sometimes that still makes me feel bitter.

I'm Russian young lady of 26 y.o who is traveling a lot all over the Europe, i can say that this problem appears not only in Turkey.Sometimes it disturbs a lot when people change their opinion to the bad one only because they find out that im Russian.
We can discuss this topic , we can argue a lot, but to say shortly ....... i believe that these people who are intelligent enough will judge us not by our nationality but by our personality, every of us!There are more than 140 millions and more than half of this are WOMEN .....imagine on the second, we are different!

What? Russian women are sweet! I have so many Russian woman friends and they are pretty awesome. They are SO sweet...and sexy.

Every race will have their flaws and bad asses. We should never generalize.

Also, Turkey is an old enemy of Russia. So, it is no surprise to me that you heard old biased views there.

turkey doesn't like Russia, because of so many tourists that go to turkey for vacations (its a cheap flight fromRussia to Turkey). so they don't get along... i have never heard a russian say anything bad about TUrkey, but have always heard that Turkey doesn't like Russians in general because of hte old rivals
