Why do Turkish men love large women?

Most of my female students are these pretty little slim things, with stunning faces and bodies, I noticed last week that one of my students had an engagement ring on that was two sizes to big for her, I asked her why is your ring too big for you Ayse? and she replied that it will fit her after marriage...I asked her to elaborate and she said..'I'll gain a lot of weight after marriage'....since then I realised how much the men adore large, big women...what is the fascination?

I have noticed this too! My bf is turkish, and his brother's wife is huge! i have another turkish friend and her girlfriend is really thick. Various pictures of Istanbul streets I have seen turkish guys with thicker ladies. and from this site. http://www.bebo.com/Profile.jsp?MemberId=5027641108 most of the girls are bigger on there. This is not nesecarily a bad thing. all men have different taste. but yea i agree with you I have noticed this.

I think your student was just joking.
Turkish women do tend to get fat after marriage though, not because their husbands love them that way, but because most stop working and start cooking, they cook for their husbands and for their friends that visit them. Every friend tries to show off with her cooking, so they start borrowing recipes, trying them etc, and get fat along the way.

i honestly don't think EVERY turkish men likes large women on the account of just one story. Turkish men, like every man on this planet, has different tastes in women. you can't really judge a large group of people on just one story now can you?

Turkish men are like all men. They like thin women they like thick women. It all depends on who you meet because the Turkish men I know like slender tall figures but I know a share who likes a girl with curves. The younger generation however leans towrds slender figures.

mediterranian girls usually tend to have bigger hips no offence :)

SYNTAX ERROR - your assumption is false to begin with
therefore it's absurd to question of some 'non-existent' phenomenon

I like skinny women
and that Ayse you talk about -if ther's really an Ayse at all as you claim- just means that she'll gain wegiht once she gets the hubby as she'd no longer keep up her slim state...

One of my observations of Turkey is that the the older generation of women tend to be a little plump. but its vary rare to see a podgy lady in Turkey under 30. in fact I ve never seen one. the new generations try and keep themselves thin and healthy.
Now after marriage the women stay thin but the men are more likely to gain weight.

Turkish men like their woman fat/plump so to say cus it means that they are less likely to be fancied by other men

No, I don't think your students' situation is a common example that could summarize the taste of Turkish men in women.
From what I've observed, Turkish men ,especially the young generation, seem to be VERY fond of slender, slim women, and I can't think of another Turkish men that would want their wives turning into a fat ball after marriage. So, that guy was quite an exception, trust me.
But again, like everything else, it is a matter of personal preference.

aris
so are you erasmus student in Turkey :)
