It's all to do with the Byzantine Empire, of which, Lebanon was a part. There are also lots of Christians in Iraq, but not too many beyond, as far as I know.
The Royal Coptic Church (Orthodox) of Egypt - the Oldest Christian Church on Earth - Jesus Christ, Mary and Joseph in Egypt.

Because Lebanon was founded as an Christian country. The tree on the Lebanon flag represents the Mariontes. The Sees of the Marionties, Armenian Catholic Church, and of the Armenian Apostolic Patriarch of Cilicia are in Lebanon. Asia Minor, where turkey is, was majority Christians at one time. Barbaric turks entered the civilized lands and raided like dogpeoples. Then they conducted the Armenian Genocide, and killed off most of the Christians in Asia Minor. Only in Constaniople, where some Christians able to aviod the Genocides by the filthy dogpeoples. |

Lebanon consists of 30% christianity and 70% Islam.the republic of lebanon occupies a strip of land along the mediterranean coast between Syria and Israel. The lebanese christians and muslims share power.
TURKEY:Turkey is often called "the cradle of civilization," as it has been home to a rich variety of tribes and nations of people since 6500 B.C.
The Republic of Turkey was founded in 1923 by Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, replacing the dynastic and theocratic Ottoman system, with its Sultanate and Caliphate. The Republic is based on a secular democratic, pluralist and parilamentary system. In 1945 Turkey joined the UN and became a member of NATO in 1952.
Turkey occupied the northern portion of Cyprus in 1974 to prevent a Greek takeover of the island; relations between the two countries remain strained.
Periodic military offensives against Kurdish separatists have dislocated part of the population in southeast Turkey and have drawn international condemnation.
In recent years, Turkey has become a major tourist destination in Europe.Turkey was under byzantanium's control which
practiced christianity
but the ottoman turks conquered turkey and created an islamic kingdom.Turkey is the home of almost all the ottaman sultans.
LEBANON:
Lebanon (IPA: /ˈlɛbənɒn/ or IPA: /ˈlɛbənən/ Arabic: لبنان Lubnān), officially the Lebanese Republic[3] (الجمهورية اللبنانية), is a country in Western Asia, on the eastern shore of the Mediterranean Sea. It is bordered by Syria to the north and east, and Israel to the south. Due to its sectarian diversity, Lebanon established a unique political system in 1942, known as confessionalism, based on a community-based power-sharing mechanism.[4] It was created when the ruling French mandatory powers expanded the borders of the former autonomous Ottoman Mount Lebanon district that was mostly populated by Maronite Catholics and Druze.
Lebanon is the historic home of the Phoenicians, a maritime culture which are believed to have flourished for more than 3,000 years (3700-450 BC). The Phoenicians were able to pay taxes to all invading nations in order for them to be able to keep living in the mountains on their own accord. They could live peacefully under the conditions that they cause no trouble, pay taxes and follow basic laws. Following the collapse of the Ottoman Empire after World War I, the five provinces that comprise present-day Lebanon were mandated to France. The country gained independence in 1943, and French troops withdrew in 1946.[5]
Before the Lebanese Civil War (1975-1990), the country enjoyed a period of relative calm and prosperity, driven by tourism, agriculture, and banking.[6] It is considered one of the banking capitals of Western Asia, and during its heyday was known to some as the "Switzerland of the East" due to its financial power and diversity at the time. Lebanon also attracted large numbers of tourists[7] to the point that the capital Beirut became widely referred to as the "self-proclaimed Paris of the East." Immediately following the end of the war, there were extensive efforts to revive the economy and rebuild national infrastructure.[8]
Until July 2006, a considerable degree of stability had been achieved throughout much of the country, Beirut's reconstruction was almost complete,[9] and an increasing number of foreign tourists were pouring into Lebanon's resorts.[7] This was until the one month long 2006 Lebanon War, between the Israeli military and Hezbollah, which caused significant civilian death and serious damage to Lebanon's civil infrastructure. The conflict lasted from 12 July 2006 until a cessation of hostilities call, by the UN Security Council, went into effect on 14 August 2006.[10] After some turbulent political times, Lebanon was again able to revive and restablize its economy and government. Lebanon is once again flourishing as one of the main tourist and banking destinations in the Middle East. |

Because Christian population like Armenians and Greeks have been genocide by the Turks, the rest changed to Muslim to survive or left, the country.
It’s very obvious their don’t respect other religions as example calling the church in Istanbul Agia Sophia (St. Sophia) what is the proper name and turned it to a mosque.
Still in Turkey are thousands hidden Christians, pretending been Muslims also Jewish people! The Crypto Christians (crypto for hiding)
I as a Christian would never turn a mosque to a church and pray in! |
