Why do people always put Greece and Israel in the same league?

Mostly because they are 2 of the most traveled to countries in the Mediterranean, I agree that Israel is alot better, and from many aspects, not only religious, Israeli women are gorgeous, and I love the ethnic diversity and variety of culture, In Israel you find exotic dark skinned people, blonde haired Europeans, Ethiopians, black people, Indians anythbody, In Greece most of the people look the same.

I have never heard the two being put in the same "league". The only thing they have in common is their geographic location, other than that, they are distinctly different. Depending on what your objectives are in terms of visiting, you can't say one is better than the other. But I think the majority of the people would rather go to greece than be in a war zone.

And if you're not religious, Greece is the obvious choice.

Been at Israel, Imho only attractive place I wish visit again are Jerusalem .. rest of Israel isn't attractive In My Opinion.

Jerusalem really Impressive, u can "breath" the history when walking around, every stone tell the stories but that's it.

I've prefer going to Greece for decent vacation, food and fun .. or my home country Turkey .. or my favorite vacation place phukhet : - )

(January such a good choice for take a vacation at andaman sea, climate are good at january)

Anyway ..I'd believe Greece and Israel isn't same league about holidays .. Greece vs Spain, Greece vs Italy or Greece vs Turkey maybe ; not Greece vs Israel.. εις υγεία ..

Because they are both in the mediterranean area. I don't know if you had visited Greece but as you say it is much better than Israel, you must have...
I've been to both countries couple of times and I am sorry, for a tourist, Greece is much better. First of all, you have so many options. History,people, food, sea and especially the nature. It has more variations than Israel.

Wow thats funny,I have heard lots of jokes but thats a good one.

For the terms of vacation,you can't compare it,Greece of course is way better.

Its really funny because Greece had almost 20million tourists this years (and above 15 every year) and Israel only 2.3,Greece is the safest country in EUrope compared to Israel which is really dangerous.(Gaza strip,bombing)

Why would i go to israel for a holiday? it has only one long coast a dead sea and no islands..then you have to tell the difrence between palastinians and israelsi which is hard unless they wear head gear... to to mention every second bus in israel is potential bomb threat.and the israle mafia are ruthless to tourist i hear worse than the italian mafia. and the wome in israel are not excatly babe material.. forget it ,,greece is WAY WAY WAY better for a holiday and cheaper and safer..much muxch safer and the babes and food to die for.... ..not to mention all those beautifull beaches on the islands and on the mainland..no way you can comapre israel with greece its like compring iraels as brocoli with thorns and greece as cool lucious watermelon.....give u one guess which i would have ...duh yeah the WATERMELON...

Hmm people are ALWAYS putting greece and israel in the same league? Well thats wierd because iv never once heard or seen that.

Iv been to Greece twice and Israel once and both are nice places,different but nice.Israel certainly isnt bad! Jewish people are nice to talk to,and if your interested in biblical history is great to visit.

Greece is in the same league as Turkey in that bottom corner of Europe,not Israel,Israel is to far away.

Maybe your ideal place for holidays is somewhere where armed forces are on 24/7 alert just in case.
There are many places like that, Israel one of them.
So since your accustomed to that kind of holidaying stick to Israel and enjoy.
Do not compare two different countries anyway, because their merits are different, also their cons too.
Try to take your stupid propaganda elsewhere.
