C'mmon the answer would take days to write, read some history, do some travelling, ask people from neighbouring countries what they think...TURKEY WILL NEVER BE ADMITTED INTO THE EU...Turkey has applied like I think at least 100 times, every time some European counrty finds at least 1 problem with Turkey and Turkey's bid collapses and then the Turks are happy to take a spectator second class citizen seat from way up high in the bleechers nose bleed seats looking down at civilization....damn this must be frustrating, Turkey can't join EU, can't join Arab League, can't join CIS (Russia in charge), well I guess they can create a imaginary association and play let's pretend the world likes us

The Italians were known for calling Germans uncultured barbarians.The English always thought they were better than the Scots and Irish.Sweden and Norway treat the Finns as 2nd best also.

Its the rich nations that look down on poorer ones,it has nothing to do with being European.

Do you really think a Ukrainian thinks he has it better than a Turks,because hes identified as European?

I think you have made a sly attempt here to push Turkey out of the European 'gang' by making gross generalisations.

If Europeans thought they were better than us,they would stay in thier own superior countries instead of paying to come to ours on thier time off.

Cuz any country wishes to be on top of the world...Turkey poses as a threat, considering 1. its' large size 2. Its' amazing people 3. Its' strong military 4. Its' rich culture

Its Eurocentrism, historically anybody outside of Europe was and is still to some extent considered 'lower'. I dont matter it the economy is better or worse, Muslim or Buddhist, Europeans in general think non-Euros as less cultured and with different standards. It dont matter if they are from Spain, Sweden, Greece, France or Ukraine this attitude has been felt for centuries. Many Americans have European roots, but in the eyes of a European they are seen as "less cultured"

I am not sure that all Europeans think like that. If some of them think they are better, this means they have no idea about Turkey. Because Turkey has no difference from other western countries. (Law, architecture, education, government, entertainment etc.)

I don't say that, Europeans who visit Turkey say. Even some of them disappoint because it is not much different from eastern European countries. They were expecting to see more oriental country. (except we have lots and lots of historical places)

I can say Turkey is more modern from some European countries! Self-criticism: I think democracy works better in West...

There is a misunderstanding. We do not say "Hey Europeans! We are Europeans, too!". We are Asian and proud of it. However we say "We have no difference from European countries...". Maybe they are afraid if Turkey gains power, will become a threat for them. But hey! We don't have such an idea, our motto is "Peace at home, peace in the world"!

Because we are better than the Turks in every aspect: social, political, technological, historical, civilization, environmental, health, human rights even sexual relations. Do you really want me to analyze each one of those to see the backwardness of turkey?

Why are you Turks all so damn paranoid?
I lived in Turkey for a year and I don't know anyone in England who thinks they are better than Turks.
If people are against you immigrating into Western Europe, that is a different matter. It is because we are economically in the Sh1t right now and are scared of even more people coming over and taking jobs that we need. It's not about thinking we're bettter, it's about wanting to earn a living.
