Why doesnt Armenia open up their historical archives. Because you have somehing to hide. Why doesnt Armenia admit their current genocide against Azeris? You are the only person (Armenian) on this forum that has asked a respectable question. That is your belief and that is fine. But did you readthe facts from both sides. Armenians ave not been able to produce a single, solid proof and they constantly refuse to open up their historical achives although the Turks have done so. WHY? look for the answer for this question first. Armenia did not even have a country between 1045 and the early 1980s. WHY? I will tell you why because they were too busy stirring things up and making terrorist acts.
I am half Greek half Italian and I am just sick of these Armenians coming here and making comments about Turks who I like very much without knowing anything about their own history.
Sorry mate, tell your government to speak the truth. And tell them to develop their own country, one of the worse GDPs in the world,. so poor and quit trying toscore free cash for events that never took place. And if it did it was the other way around. But since the Armanian government has no money Turks dont even try to claim these genocides that the Armenians committed. There is no money to score.

I'm Turkish. I know many Armenians died in 1915. And if it was a genocide Ottomans committed it.

There are many different claims. Some say both Turks and Armenians died, because it was a war. And if you know Turkish things are more different because there are tons of content about the issue in Turkish. They have documents, too.

Modern Turkey was founded in 1923 by Mustafa Kemal AtatÃ¼rk. And since 1923 no genocide happened.

If you say, "why doesn't your country recognize it?" I say " Our politicians try to seem friendly to the average citizens, and average citizens don't recognize any bad things about their country"

I mean there are millions of people thinking that "Turks never commit genocide because we're a perfect nation, royal nation"

Many Turks recognize the incident as a genocide any say "Yes Ottomans killed hundreds of thousands of Armenians, just like how they took children of Europeans and turned them into Janissaries"

The only thing I can't stand, when some Armenians insult Turkey everywhere on internet and do nothing but swearing. It's making relations with Turks harder. For example saying "Turkey is an evil country, all people are murderers" etc.

I have no bad feelings for any nation, like every decent person.

I think you havent read any trusted history books yet or one sided ones maybe, if i were you instead of asking on here, i would go to a city library and do a small research which is not written by both sides to have the correct idea on that maybe at that time u could see what really happened that time. Coz , i have also friends from eastern turkey and they say that their ancestors were killed by armenians, then what should i come up with turkish genocide by armenians?Doesnt make anysense, plus i just condemn the guy who thinks that all bad people are from Turkey or in Turkey, then tell me as the center of civilizations , Anatolia, How could it feed up those superior people for ages?

Also I m an Armenian living in Malta and I think you can not talk about a genocide, it was a war. Yes, we lost a lot, but our grand-grand fathers also killed lots of Turks.

Its normal for Turks not to admit the genocide and i believe there were no Armenian or Turkish genocide, it was a war.

Hey I'm Assyrian, and I know that the Genocides of the Armenians, Assyrians, and Greeks DID happen, all Genocides occurred at the same time. Close to 3 million Christians perished simply because they were Christians living in the Ottoman Empire. Turkey knows that if it accepts the Genocide of the Armenians for example, then it must accept the Genocide of the Greeks and Assyrians which is something Turkey does not wish to do. I don't understand why Turkey is so special that it cannot accept what it did, France and Belgium accept their Genocides of Africans, why can't Turkey be the same? I know the Genocide happened, we are living proof!!

** And to that lady who said Genocide means to finish off a race of people---HELLO what about the Holocaust!?!? It was planned to exterminate all Jews but was thankfully unsuccessful. The Genocides were PLANNED to kill all Christians but did not happen, thank God. The Pope even today has to be protested by Turks by visiting Turkey, if Islam is a religion of peace the Turks should showcase Islam's characteristic for the Pope and all the world to see.

Before Ottoman Empire Armenians was slave of Roman and Bizantine Empire. When Ottoman was occupy Europe they give freedom to Armenians. Turks was in good relationship with armenians, Armenians didnt pay any TAXEX, there are was exuqused from the Military service... Ottoman Empire called armenians "TRUST SOCIETY" because they didnt saparate Armenians from Turkish people. While of Ottoman Empire Armenians just made trade and Turks allow they to work in Goverment and in nice places. But when Ottoman Empire started get down..Armenians started to work with Russian and Europian against to Ottoman Empire. in World War I when Turey had War with Russian Armenias Fighted agaist to Turkey with Russians. They killed lots of Turkish people.. moreover Armenians had some terrorist groups who attacted Turkey...

Armenians stabbed Turks on their back in the past and they GOT what they deserved! But Unfortunately it wasnt Genocide! Ottoman Empire have just pushed back stabbers(Armenians Who killed hundreds of their Turkish neighbours while cooperating with Russians against Ottomans) to migrate southern provinces of Ottoman Empire(today Syria and Lebanon). They have been murdered by kurdish groups lived in mountains for their money or assets. They also died because of the climate! Today Armenia is still occupying Azerbaijan Lands(Karabagh). Armenian soldiers did genocide against thousands of Azeri civillians as a revenge of their artificial genocide lies! We all watched Armenian crimes against Azeri people on our TV's. Everyday another mass grave of Azeri people murdered by Armenian soldiers are being found!
If Ottoman Turks really did genocide against Armenians There wouldnt be any Armenians BARKING left in World!!
Greeks,Armenians and Kurds have always been USED by other big nations against Turks! If I were Greeks,Armenians or Kurds I wouldnt let to be used by others! Your interest is GOOD relations with Turks!

Armenians dont hate muslims. Armenia was the first to accept Christianity as a national religion 300 AD. Since then there has been many wars with neighboring countries. Because most of them are muslims, but that was war, they have won and they have lost. The reason that Armenians dont like the turks is because of the Armenian Genocide of 1915, which killed about 1.5 million Armenians, and they historical lands were taken. 75% of turkish lands used to be Armenian soil. After all these 91 years ago turkey still doesnt accept responsibility, thats what makes people look at turkey with hate, not only Armenians but most of the civilized countries. Every country had wars, but war is different, soldiers fight, kill and get killed. But killing innocent women, children, elderly just because they are Armenian, dragging them in deserts, cutting body parts, starving them, leaving them with no water, and watching them as they die on by one, and taking their homes and lands is GENOCIDE!

Did you join Yahoo Answers to make Armenian Genocide propoganda? Most of your answers and your only question so far are about this issue. Moreover somebody asks "What annoys you the most?" in the Culture session and your answer was "Genocide". Come on!

There was no Armenian Genocide and that is why Turkish people and state does not admit it. This does not mean many Armenians died in 1915, but so did Turks.

There is tension here because recently a lot of people joined and were swearing to Turks non-stop. Thanks to Yahoo they are all removed now.

At least you keep a civilized manner. Please keep it that way otherwise, Yahoo is replacing users so fast that after 100 years you people can call it a genocide.

They were preoccupied throwing the greeks out of their homes in Constantinople and Smirni. After that they were getting ready to occupy the northern part of Cyprus and now they are trying to get their claws in the EU so they have not gotten to the point of admiting the armenian genocide yet.

Ok, I accept, lots of Armenian people died. But Turkish people died too. So Ottoman governement wanted Armenians to move to finish the Turkish death. It was winter. So lots of Armenians deid on the road because of illnesses. But Turkish people didn't kill them. We didn't throw them into stoves and made golds from them. We didn't say a lie like 'now you'll have a bath' then we didn't give them cyanide while they're waiting for the water.

One can only assume that there are bad people in Turkey. Lots of Turks today make flimsy excuses. It should be against the law, and the EU is working on just that. It pisses Turks off. So I guess they are bad people.
