Why is Turkey #92 out of 121 on this list of Global Peace Index?

91 was for "suddenly skopje"
and 93 was for the losers
Turkey preferred just between the two... touching gently

Well the reason why it is out of 121 is because only 121 countries were surveyed apparently (not exactly rocket science this one!)

As for why it is 92nd? Well it actually even answers it in the same survey " Small, stable countries which are part of regional blocs are most likely to get a higher ranking"

Turkey - small? - nope
Turkey - part of a regional bloc - not in the same way as others on the survey are nope.

So there you have your answer - nothing more sinister than that.

P.S. - I would rather know the answer to why you keep asking questions and then deleting them before anyone can answer.

Why don't you read a little bit more about a subject before you ask? I can see you are VERY interested in Turkey. Or maybe you'd better visit the country...
Actually I am tired of your questions. In this place people are not psychiatrists, this platform is for the people who want to and need to learn and I think you are abusing everybody.
You really need to seek some help.

Why? For the reason that you shall find conflict everywhere you turn your head in Turkey. The secularists (laicists as the turks like to call it) against the islamists; legislative against the democratically elected ruling party; war in the kurdish heartland in east turkey; underground network mafia threatens freedom or speech with death; boys fighting each other for a girl; turkish boys fighting with girlfriend and then skipping off to harass white female tourists. The list is endless.

Do you ask 121 countries the same question ?

Why you are # ...x ?

Your brain is not safe.

whats your obsession with Türkiye , blondie?

islander
Simply because Turkey never want to take humane responsibility for their inhumane actions in history. They think that they only have the right to exist and they are the only people on earth and every one else is wrong. This is very egocentric on their part.

Who is # 121? The UK or the USA?

vcengen
Why not? On a list where UK is 49th and US 96th, it shouldn't shock people that much!

Please open a map and look the geological AND political position of Turkey. We're practically neighbors to almost every hot area in the world.

- Iraq which is invaded by US for oil is our neighbor.
- Our another neighbor Iran is under US threat.
- We have issues on Cyprus with Greece which is another neighbor of ours.
- Armenia, also our neighbors claim Turkey for a so-called genocide.
- There are terrorists on our southeastern area who intend to split us for almost 25 years.
- Middle East, issues between Israel and Palestine is still a bleeding wound. etc.

When you're in a position like that you have to take some serious and mostly hard measures.

There's a saying in Latin:

"Si vis pacem, para bellum."

Meaning;

"To secure peace is to prepare for war." ("Hazir ol cenge, ister isen sulh u salah")

That's the situation here.

I don't know if you have prejudices about us or if you're obsessed with us (and honestly I don't care) but before you imply something or make fun of it or just hate it, wouldn't be better to know your "object"? Come to Turkey, talk to people, live here, make observations... And then make your mind.

We may be at the bottom of some "peace list" but remember, we're sons of a great leader, Ataturk whos motto was:

"Peace at ho

Actually Turkey ranks in the 115th positions and not in the 92th.

Its not only the neighbor responsible for that as the methodology to give this result has to do with many factors (24 in tottal)..
Why it ranks that way?I guess its obvious by the chart....

It's not such a big surprise. Think of Kurds, Armenians, Cypriots, borders with places where their American masters make wars or will make wars for the oil.
Those are enough I guess.
