Georgia attacked South Ossetia and a part of Abkhazia, Kodori, disregarding all the international treaties. So Georgia isn't really a poor little victim of Russian aggression here. Saakashvili promised South Ossetia long ago. However, Russians are doing the same there, they are bombing civilians too. Russians just seized the opportunity to get rid of Saakashvili who is pro-Western, that's obvious. Stop saying Russia attacked to save Ossetians, since when does Russia care about human life so much? Don't be ridiculous, as if the world doesn't know what kind of a record you have in Chechnya. Also, fortunately for Russia, this is a great obstacle for the Georgian accession to NATO, countries with internal conflicts are hardly attractive for NATO.

I don't care, let them both kill each other and let the only winning side be the Ossetians and Abkhazians.

a lot of S.Osetians had Russian passport so they were Russian citizens. Georgian forces attacted S.Osetia at the night of Olympic Games. S. Osetia asked Russia to help so Russians came. If they hadn't done it, Georgians would fight Russian boarders and captured N. Osetia (which is a part of Russia)

Georgia has a very comfortable position. They can pretend to a small weak country attacted by big Russia. They HAVE ALREADY CUT THE CONNECTION TO ALL RUSSIAN TV CHANNELS AND WEBSITES. They act like a naughty baby in the kindergarten who can kick and hit his groupmate and then after his reaction say: HE STARTED IT!!!!

Because Russia is being true to itself...it's a bully and it has no compunctions about stepping all over its neighbor's toes.

True Georgia most likely dont compare to Russia, but when they got weapons, those weapons can kill you, so you attack those bases and take those weapons out! As for civilian deaths, who knows... maybe out of anger?

Because georgian army are cowards. They attacked civilians at olympics night, when day before they asked for peace, completely destroyed capital town of N.Osetia, slaughtered around 2000 osetians and around 20-30 peacekeepers. They are hiding behind their own civilians and place military objects near or in civilian buildings. They are victims of Saakashvili madness.

Because those inbred swine in georgia attacked the capital of South Ossetia and killed close to 2000 innocent people. georgian snipers even destroyed the hospitals and ambulances taking the wounded children, men, women and peacekeepers away (FASCISM!). russia does not intentionally target civilians. it is the policy regardless of what you hear in the western media. there can be several explanations to the pictures. the pictures that i have seen so far come from gori, a georgian town and a major military base of the georgian army attacking ossetia. last night russian bombers bombed a military ammunition storage in that town and according to one wittness account that i personally read it was a precise hit. it is likely that the vast supplies of the ammunition started detonating and flying all over the place. moreover the pictures of the civilian quarters there that i have seen do not look like a direct hit of a bomb but rather shell hits (while russia does not have artillery anywhere close to that place). still, another version is that it was an accident. even better equiped u.s. troops every once in a while happen to inadvertently hit civilian targets, so it is not that uncommon. the third explanation is that the pictures were staged. although it may seem shocking such things are done quite often too, as the information war is an important part of the modern warfare and georgia has proved many times that it is good at it.

on another count, after what those sub human animals referred to as georgians did to the south ossetians (you won't hear about it in the western media, of course) i say let 'em all die as they are not humans beings but rabid and brutal animals and personally i would fully support a carpet bombing of their territory. russian government wil never do it though.

Georgia wants its land back so Georgia launched the offensive. I think Russia sent tanks and personnel. I thought Georgia was the one that killed all the civilians.
