Yes, you are right, Asian Side is more cleaner and coordinate than the European Side ...
When I came Asian Side, I can notice the difference...
I think, the weather is also changing ... Did you noticed ?

Because lots of people work on European side and live on Asian. So they care more about their homes.
(I work in Teşvikiye and live in Üsküdar just as an example) |

Yes I like the Asian side too. It is more orginised and the quality of people are better ( no offense to the ones who live in the western part ) |

Exactly misinformed... or a partial observation...
Istanbul has two continents. Both continents have rich residents and suburbs.
Side............Rich&Coord. Residence........Suburb
Europian.......Basaksehir................
Asian.............Pendik Sea Side...................Pendik Kurtkoy
Europian........Atakoy...................
Asian..............Bagdat Caddesi....................Sarıgazi
and so on.... |

Hmmm. Maybe the European side has always been somewhere people do business and Asian side has always been residential places. Then the population of Istanbul explodes, little residential places all merge into one big city, all business centers do likewise and residential places in European side get drowned under the load and with no wise city planning, we get a hectic city.
Still, I would say you are generalizing. Istanbul is as diverse as her people. |

I agree Pearl. I love the Asian side. I never want to move from here. It's clear, fresh and Turkey. When we go to the European side I feel surrounded by a real big city. They have succombed to the EU already. :( |

1. Car Parking
2. Green space - park areas. (again important for those with kids)
3. Better water-gas and electricity connections-- infrastructure is newer
4. More shopping centers(good on a hot summer day)
5. Well laid-out neighbourhoods
6. Fewer gawking villagers
7. Cheaper and better quality properties
8. Moda Park and sea front
9. Good connections to the Euro side
10. It's not full of Euro-trash tourists who walk up and down Taksim, the Euro-trashy expats who tend to populate Cihangir, and the magandas who are magnetised towards them |

I just noticed that when I am in Asia, I can actually look at shops whilst in many European countries I have to look on the street not to trip again in another dog pooh! It was very noticeable though how clean Turkish cities were in contrast! Way to go Turkey! |

The Europeans are so busy working and making something
called civilization they haven't time for domestic duties.
The Asian meanwhile don't know what else to do besides
sweep the floor. Easy question. |
