It's Mallorca in Spanish.
Majorca in English.

Why?
Because in Spanish "LL" is pronounced as "J".
If English speaking people read "Mallorca" they would pronounce it as "Malorca".

By the way, in Spanish there is only one was to say "Thank you"=Gracias. In some areas of Spain people's accent is so strong that you can't hear the "s" so you may think they are saying "Gracia". Gracia is part of my name(LOL) which means "Grace" not "Thank you".

why has this been posted in the greece section lol!? but either is fine, majorca is more commonly used here in the uk though mallorca is the spanish spelling. x

both - Majorca is the anglicised version of it.

I was amused some years ago on picking up a holiday brochure to read in the cheap family holidays section that it was spelt as Majorca but in the more expensive end it was spelt Mallorca. I guess they thought that the richer people would be snobbish if they thought they were going to the same place!

Weed
both because there are both places { which however is wrong }

'Majorca' is English, like 'Sevilla' is 'Seville'

'Mallorca' is Spanish and Catalan. Pronounced 'mayorca'

Leonarda
In spanish(as a spanish teacher i speak)it is mallorca...

Both are Ok , just depends where you come from.
These spell it both ways.

Mallorca. This is how Spaniards write it.

thinkin2myself
To tourists it is mainly known as Majorca whereas the area is known in spain as Palma de Mallorca

LouLou
They are both correct, depends where you come from also the spanish have two ways of saying thankyou, Gracia and Gracia's, depending on what part of spain they are from.
