Will I be able to get a Russian bride if I have tattoos?

None of the other guys I see have tattoos. Are tattoos bad or uncommon in Russia?

In the middle of the 1950's mummies with tattoos were discovered in Russia which show how highly developed the art of tattooing was in Russia. At the Ukuk Plateau, in the north of Russia, the 2.400 year old corpse was found and on her arms and shoulders she was decorated with artful tattoos of birds, deer and other mythical animals. She is still the oldest tattooed woman known.

Other than that very little has been passed down of the traditional old rituals and cultures in Russia lastly because of the communist regime. Also the effort of the central party to suffocate every spark of individuality and therefore any artistic creativity didn't even permit an art form like body painting. Tattoos were mostly used by the military to brand mark delinquents who were then sent to the icy downs of Siberia to be never seen again.

Many tattooed men in Russia are criminals: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Criminal_tattoo#Russia

It does not mean you won't be able to get a Russian Bride though. It all depends on the woman, but many in Russia tend to be traditional. Best of luck in your search!

No. It depends on the woman.

Years ago A russian girl would of thought of you as a criminal ( vory v zakone ) These days much depends like anywhere on perspectives,, and although a Russian girl may not now see you as a criminal, many will not be happy about it, but for those that are into body art, it will make no difference

Some of them are know for being after your money.

Just the fact that you are asking this question might give you a clue as to just how popular tattoos are with women everywhere.

As has been pointed out by RussianT, tatoos generally mean you've done prison time in Russia. I'd suggest getting a good education on the subject of Russian brides at http://RUadventures.com and best of luck to you!

I can't say "no" nor "yes".... I have not seen you.
1. Tattoos can be diferent. You can have 1-2 tattoos and you can have tattoos all over your body.
2. The women are diferent. There're some women who also have many tattoos.

And will you be able to get a Russian bride or not...it depends more of your personality and not of your look.

Yes, some tattoos are prison-related, but not all the tattoos... And even so, there're women who like it)))

Mariska
Not really considered "bad"..
Yes, tattoos can be a sign of prison time....

However, I know plenty of Russian men and women who have tattoos that they simply wanted and not prison-related at all.

I really think it is just a matter of opinion. Not all Russian women are the same. Some like tattoos, some will not. Just like anywhere.

As long as you have money and a nice personality you will succeed.
