I was in Turkey with the group of Cypriot people, with Cypriot passports !
NO PROBLEM

Devil's Advocate
You will encounter absolutely no problems. I have dual Cypriot and British nationality. I visited Turkey last year to view the eclipse. I stayed at Alanya for 1 week and travelled alone to Istanbul where I spent 3 days.
Wherever I went people assumed I was Turkish and spoke to me as a local. When I pointed out I was in fact Greek Cypriot, I was made most welcome. I still exchange emails with 2 people I met.
I have discovered that wherever in the world I travel, people will respond to your body language, tone of voice and most of all, your smile.

Do not fail to visit Istanbul, and play as many games of tavli as you can....finally....whether you are Greek, English, French or Botswanian..ALWAYS barter!!!

Absolutely nothing to worry about. I am a Turkish Cypriot and a lot of my Greek Cypriot friends have been visiting Turkey in the last few years. They do shopping and come back. Some even use the Turkish Cypriot (illegal according to Tasos) airport to travel :) They travel with Greek Cypriot passports. They tell me they just loved the country, especially Istanbul (Constantinopolis for some). Greek Cypriots even visit North Cyprus (occupied area for them) and travel around while Turkish soldiers just look :) They dine and wine in Kyreina (Girne). So just go to Turkey and enjoy yourself. Have a glass of raki in Istanbul for me, with some "lakerda". Do it in Cicek Pasaji at Pera, or in Sariyer on the Bosphorus. Then eat some baklava at Gulluoglu, and remember me as you do that.

I'm British and have lived in Turkey for the last 13 years, in all that time I've never encountered anyone who was anti-Greek/Greek-Cypriot. I have a house on the Aegean coast in Ayvalik, near Lesbos/Mytilene, and women come over every week to do their shopping in the market, a lot of the tradesman, waiters etc speak Greek and enjoy mixing with them. I have heard Turkish people criticise both Greek and Turkish politicians, so long as you do not get into a political discussion, you'll be fine. Have fun!!

You won't have trouble at the airport because the passport safeguards you. As an extra precaution wear a British t-shirt (with UK flag or something equally British).

I'm going to the knitting and embroidery section to chat to some sweet British blue rinse,, Hope they are not foreign

Kavliaris
Despite all the assurance that you won't have trouble, officially; however, the people may give you sh*t due to personal reasons, i.e. hatred etc
