Would you teach your child ethics or manners or the 3 basic math,language ,science..First!?

Totally Blunt

There is no FIRST in child rearing. You teach everything altogether, else they learn it from somewhere else.

But I believe maths, language and science are at least as important as ethics and manners. I hate to see undereducated kids roaming around thinking text messaging is rocket science. I actually LIKE smart kids who aren't afraid to show off with their knowledge.

Both my dear, the children can learn both at the same time. Being ethical and methodical will help the in learning maths, language and science. The family supports children and is the core of ethics and manners. School is responsible in teaching our children and expanding their knowledge. A genius without ethics is simply a person with wide knowledge and intelligence.

In reality, some of the mentioned items go hand in hand.

I have a 2 year old and a 9 month old.You teach them right from wrong in terms of ethics and manners from the very beginning in a gentle manner..... it's part of growing up.

Languages - well my and my husband speak different languages to them, so also from the beginning.

Maths - counting to 10, we do that all the time!, and science and the rest will come in time..... although if you count my son constantly trying to put cans of food into the microwave and turn it on as science, then he is already doing it!

First : Language - for without speech, the rest will be difficult.

Ethics and manners are next - match and science are good for when the child is a bit older.

If i had a kid i wouldn't teach him the things i wanted coz that would have been purely fascistic..I would have teach it only necessarily life stuff and let it make its own opinions ...i saw a t-shirt though which i liked a lot and i have to mention it : Parental advisory - Don't have kids :-P I would appreciate it a lot if u had no kids too coz we ll run out of water n food soon :-pPpP

Is it because she feels lack of them? Or because she can't understand good from bad?
Don't worry you can always start to learn, just first you have to admit that you are missing that things.
And know the answer of this question. Every parent should be able to teach his own children to good manners and ethics but not as a school subject, but as a part of every day life, but through our own behavior-when we talk with others, walk, eat...
And about math, language science, it will all come naturally, when the child will became to a certain age (ready for school)
