It's a beautiful city. The people who say it's only for sex and drugs are really, really stupid. If you go there only for sex and drugs, you'd be an idiot too, but I can't stop you :p.
There's a lot of that stuff there, but there's more than that. There are many museums and lovely, old Dutch houses. There's much history there. You'd be surprised at all the culture in Amsterdam, because it was once a large port, so many different people from all over the world settled there - to this day it's a very mixed city. A lot of middle easterners and Indians.

Amserdam is the best!!!!!!!!! If you somke weed it is even better. If you want to go to the red light distric it is great too! I went with my 60something Mom anf she had ablast. Definitly see the Anne Frank house.... very emotioal betwell worth it !!!!!!!!!

It's a fun place to visit, not to stay

well if you're coming to Amsterdam to be yet one more stoned tourist too high to pay attention to anything... DON'T COME!!!

If you want to see this city for it's architectual and historical beauty and charm then by all means come and enjoy.

Forgo the Red Light District... way over rated and pay attention to where you walk.

Oh and if you hear a bell... any bell... MOVE OUT OF THE WAY or you'll risk being run over by a tram or me on my bike.
