A Paris view from the top, which one is better? Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame or Sacre Coeur?

I will visit Paris for a few day. I want to know which one is worth to climb to the top for the view of Paris? (Becasue of the limited stay there, I can only choose one) Day view or Night view is better?

Thanks!

Arc de Triomphe has incredible, central views of Paris and it takes so much less time (and money) than waiting for the Eiffel Tower. Another great vista is from the top of Centre Pompidou, from the cafeteria. I like late afternoon views - the setting sun can create some incredibly surrealistic scenes!

During the day I'd eliminate Sacre Coeur immediately - too many people, the funiculaire is out of order this YEAR and the view isnt fab. Notre Dame is amazing, and you get to see the gargoyles up close, but the queue can take a long time. Likewise the Eiffel Tower has a long queue (but at least you dont need to walk up it, unlikeNotre Dame and the Arc de Triomphe). I think the Arc de Triomphe has a GREAT view night and day, with the advantage that you can see the eiffel tower... you cant see it sparkle on the hour if you're on it!
However, Montparnasse is not to be ignored. it's a business tower in the south of paris. it has lifts, no queues and is cheaper than the eiffel tower. I would suggest going around sunset to see Paris light up slowly. The advantage of montparnasse is that there is a lower level cafe/resto, with panels telling you what you can see and a top deck (with no irritating fences to stop people jumping, unlike the eiffel tower) where you can wander freely. And you can go up and down as you please. no queues for the lift.

But the tower itself isnt pretty. Whereas going up the arc de triomphe or notre dame is an event in itself. So, I leave the final decision to you. Enjoy

In my opinion the answer is "none of the above."

The best view is from the top of the Arc de Triomphe.

Although it is not nearly as high as the Eiffel Tower nor, like Sacre Coeur on the highest spot of ground in Paris, its placement means you will get a better panorama than from any of the other places mentioned.

It depends on what you mean by "better view".

Eiffel tower : You can see far away at the third floor but you can't see details. At the first and second floors, it is not too bad. you have to pay. I used to go there and sit on the stairs in frnt of the sacré coeur to relax after job.

Notre Dame : not confortable but why not? You have to pay too.

Sacrée coeur : very romantic, near a very nice little place, you don't have to climb at the top of the "church", it is on the top of a hill and you can well see if you stay in the strees. the only free!

Arc de triomphe : the better but you have to pay and to climb! :o)

Le Tour Eiffel is Brilliant its like being in a Plane, you can see the whole City of Paris Zest Tre Bien and you go up in the Lift no walking. You can easily go to Notre Dame after that take the River Boat . Le Bateaux Parisiens Jetty is only a short walk from the Eiffel Tower worth your while. Sacre Coeur is worth a visit too for the view of Paris from the Butte Monmarte and the Village of Montmarte and the Artists selling there Pictures and the Ancient Eglise St Pierre Church. You can stop for a very nice Lunch in Conways Irish Pub on way into VIllage of Montmarte.

The Eiffel Tower is my recommendation and night time viewing is the best. You can do day time viewing from either Notre Dame or Sacre Coeur on the same day of your night viewing if you really want to. Best to do the tours on your own so you have more control of your time.

The view from Eiffel Tower during the day time is unbelievably beautiful! You can see the whole Paris from there! Indeed, it is something incredible!!

Eiffel Tower has a fantastic view

I prefer Notre Dame because it would take quite a walk up the winding stairs to reach the top. Do not stop at the first level. Instead trek to the second level where the gargoyles are and admire the beutiful view from there. Tour Eiffel is a bit too high up for my liking :)

I think they all would be beautiful!

All three sites offer great views of Paris, but I'm partial to the steps of Sacre Coeur. Here, the city unfolds before you, offering a splendid panoramic view of Paris. Also, the Eiffel Tower is in view, which adds to the view.

If you choose the Eiffel Tower, the best view is from the second level. Any higher and you really can't make out what's what.

Notre Dame offers some nice photo opps with the gargoyles.

Shake it up!
Well, eiffel at night is beautiful, but Notre Dame is great all the time... The view from Sacre Coeur isn't worth it. I'd say, go with the Eiffel Tower. It really is timeless, and if you're only going to be there for a few days, it is the quintessential thing that every visitor to paris has to do.
