A particular french peacekeeping mission in west Africa? What was it? |
I remember seeing this on a documentary, where civil unrest between two opposing factionr, (rebels and government?)for one reason or another broke out in a west African former french colony.
France sent in peacekeeping troops to keep the peace. As I remember now some people of that country are a bit frustrated because the French soldiers are keeping either side of the conflict from winning. So the country was in sort of a limbo state.
What was this? I really need to know. Thank you!
Additional Details
I don't know the time period, this could have happened in the 2000s, or 1990s or 1980s. I really am not sure.
