Paris is not really the place to go for "cheap stuff" even during the winter sales. Frankly, its rather a waste of time and money to go to Paris to shop.

If you really can think of nothing better to do with your time than to go shopping then consider going to called La Vallee Village (3, cours de la Garonne Paris 77700) where over 75 leading ready-to-wear, table ware and luxury labels offer their previous season's collections at consdierable discounts. Its actually outside Paris but easy to get to. by the RER commuter train to the Val d'Europe station.

The big depatment stores are:

Le Bon Marche Rive Gauche
24, rue de Sèvres (7th arr.)
Metro : Sèvres Babylone
http://www.lebonmarche.fr

Galeries Lafayette
40, boulevard Haussmann (9th arr)
Metro : Chaussée d'Antin La Fayette
http://www.galerieslafayette.com

Printemps Haussmann
64, boulevard Haussmann (9th arr)
Metro : Havre Caumartin
