If you have good language and IT skills, it would be worthwhile for you to identify a list of Estate Agents / Real Estate Agents - "notaires" / "agents immobiliers" . Then put together a very targetted CV, that shows you know something about the industry and are able to invent / translate text in a good marketing style. - Approach the notaire and estate agents first by email (only in French) and by telephone, following it up with your CV. - While they may not be able to offer you paid employment, you could suggest some sort of "stage" with them. - All French employers need to see that you have worked previously with French employers and this is a good way to begin.
Also try identiying UK agencies which work with UK families letting out their properties in the region. They often need people "sur place".
If you are an EU citizen you should also look at job offers in the region on the jobcentre plus website nearest to you. |

If you can get a job at all in France you're ahead of the game. Most French can't. |

I would like to go there too when I retire. Biarrits, Bayonne or San Sébastien are very nice places for people retiring. I do not know what kind of work you are looking for and I do not know what means "sector 17" but first of all you have to speak a good French. To speak French fluently is very different that the French you learn in school. You could try to ask another question by naming the city you want to go to and get an answer by somebody living there and find out abour Hotel jobs for people in vacation, leisure, and wealthy retired people. Bonne chance. Amitiés. Salut (I am French: je suis française) |
