my wife has , she says its just amazing and alot bigger than you can imagine, just massive... i cant believe they were going to take it down... what would france be w/o the eiffel tower.....?ps. check out the great alfred hichcock film ,"man in the eiffel tower"

jenjf5678
Yes. That's how I learned your legs can get tired when you walk down stairs. We, of course, took the elevator up.

Cotton Tablecloth
I've seen it a few times.

If you're going, my one suggestion is that you don't go up at night. I found the view by night a little disappointing. Paris by night is better appreciated from the ground.

parisfornia
Yes. It's simply iconic. Don't laugh but years ago, I saw a disaster movie that showed the Eiffel Tower being distroyed and THAT to me was the most emotional moment of the entire movie! LOL... I guess everybody loves their home more than they know.

And by the way, bla bla bla to the "French people are rude" crowd. Such a tired topic. Be more creative!

No, but I've seen the Empire State Building and The World Trade Center. They were so tall that from the block they are on you can't even look up to see the top without straining your back. It's incredible.
