Yes, and I was very disappointed. After all the hype I had heard the thing turned out to be a little 8 X 11 which was roped off. I couldn't get a good look at it.. It was boring and there were a lot of other paintings that were a bit more interesting...

I saw it.. I saw it just yesterday
I went to Louvre, pay 15 euro for my Louvre Jeunes card. and go inside room number 6.
I saw it there.. without queing.. and without tight security
they usually do that in summer. they put it in special chamber..with queing and only 1 minute chance to see for each person.
it's not really special

It IS smaller than expected, but very mysterious at the same time. If you read about it before you see it, then it is very intriguing. "The Master" Leonardo Da Vinci was a great innovator who pioneered that new look, combining light and shade, especially around the eyes and mouth (hence the famous Mona Lisa smile). This is why the expression on Mona Lisa's face seems to look slighty different every time you look. And it's not your average portrait. Look at the detailed scenery behind Mona Lisa. It's easy to miss...
If you plan to go see it, take the Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown for your plane ride... although by now you'd probably be the last person on the planet to have not read it ;=)
