There is also Quatre Temps at La Défense neighborhood. It's not exactly Paris, but with RER A you can get there in 5 minutes. It is much bigger then Les Halles (in fact Quetre Temps is really HUGE, there is like 250 shops).
Also in Quatre Temps you till find a food store. There is no one in Les Halles. |

The closest thing would be the Forum of Les Halles, Get there by taking ther Metro to the Les Halles station. |

One of the largest shopping centres in Paris is Galleries Lafayette (40 Boulevard Haussmann, 75009, Paris) and it's right next to the Place de l'Opera. I would say that the closest métro station is Auber or Havre-Caumartin. Its got fashion, food, restaurants, more or less all you need. Try www.galerieslafayette.com although when i tried a second ago the site was under construction... |

If you want a mall in central Paris that is less crowded than the one in Les Halles there is also one in Montparnasse, métro Montparnasse-Bienvenuë in the 14th arrondissement.
But if the weather is nice you can find everything you need in the many shopping districts of Paris without having to go to a mall. |
