There is actually a night bus called Noctilien network (www.noctilien.fr) that runs from 12:30am to 5am. However, it could be a hassle to get to your hotel from the drop off points, as it is dark and you are not familiar with the roads. Get a cab or call your hotel for a private shuttle.

Public transportation will be difficult because the Metro, RER and regular bus system stop running from 12:30 or so until 5 AM. There is a limited system of night buses but unless you are very well acquainted with Paris you will find them a real challenge to navigate.

Cabs and private shuttles will be available.

The last train of the night for the metro and RER leaves the end of the line at 12:30, so it'd be tough to catch it, especially with luggage. I wouldn't recommend the night busses. They're quite confusing, even for a parisien, and they tend to be crowded at times with slightly odorous and/or intimidating people. You may be able to get a shuttle, depending on where you're getting into (airport, train station?). Look at the web site of the place you're arriving to see available shuttles from there and the time schedules. A cab would probably be the best way. If there's none at the cab station, you could call one. A warning, though, they start charging when the get the call, and depending on where you're coming from and going to, it could be expensive with luggage anyway.
