Yes the meal times are similar except we tend to eat quite late in the evening, after 8pm and it can be quite lengthy also especially if eating with friends or family.

Breakfast is usually simple with coffee, hot chocolate or tea with a chunk of baguette and most people eat jam with it. They like a sweet breakfast rather than savoury.

France stops for 2 hours from 12 to 2pm while people go home for lunch. Some people eat a large hot meal while others go for salads. It's easy to pick who does which ; )

Dinner often starts with a drink, aperitif, then entree, main, cheese and dessert. Pork and pork products are very popular; the people are very earthy meat eating types in general and don't consume a lot of vegetables (according to me anyway). But apart from traditional foods, or which there are many, the regular meals can be very similar to anglo saxon diets. Wine is an important addition too.

In rural areas you might find some people still eat sausage or other charcuterie etc in the afternoons. If you want an example of a traditional French food product, read the article below.

Morning - around 7.30 it's coffee, and one or two slices of bread, preferably baguette with butter and jam. Croissants are best fresh so are for the weekend when you can take a leisurely breakfast and have the time to go buy the croissants.
Noon (12.30 to 1 am) - at work usually a sandwich swallowed quickly, this is alas becoming the norm in France. Or a takeaway, chinese, japanese, lebanese... But when I can a real meal, with at least a starter, usually a small salad, and a meat course with vegetable. Many restaurants have adapted their menus and offer two courses menus, starter and main course or main course and desert, recognising that the hours long lunch is going the way of the dodo. Sometimes a glass of wine with it but that too is becoming rarer. And a coffee. Do not forget the coffee.
Evening (around 8 o'clock) - if a sandwich at noon, a real meal with salad, then a fish or meat course and vegetable and desert (fruits). If a full meal at noon, a lighter version in the evening.

The 2 hours long stop at noon still exist in the smaller cities where shops still close during that time but in the big ones it is no longer the norm as shops and offices stay open.

In the morning it's a black coffee and maybe some bread

In afternoon (12 or 12.30) is a full course meal...with maybe salad to open it , then some meat, vegetable and at the end some cheese and yogourt or maybe some cake

In the Evening more or less similar to the Midday but we eat around 8pm.

We will have also some wine maybe in Midday or evening or both :)
