The Franc. Exchange rates were up and down back then, so not sure. If you went on a trip and kept the Francs you picked up, keep them for a bit longer. They will be worth a bit more in the future.

It was the FRENCH Franc and it traded at about 4 francs to the U.S.D. When I lived in Paris in the early 1980's the exchange was about 7.25 Francs to the U.S.D.
