Rillifane is right, there are so much to see and do in Paris. The best way to know this city is to go walking. That is not a very big city, and a lot of places are close.
But if you want to know, other nice places near Paris, you can visit Versailles by train RER C5 that you can find in several stations in Paris, that is very close from the center of Paris by this train. You can go in Fontainebleau, where there is a wonderful Castle. You can go there by train from Austerlitz station I think. That's close from Paris. You can also visit the castle of Vaux le Vicomte : http://www.vaux-le-vicomte.com/en/infos-pratiques-chateau.php
Provins is a town with medieval buidings, you can go there by train (from Gare de l'est station I think).
If you want to visit Reims is one hour far from Paris Gare de l'est. There are lovely places to see there : cathedral, Basilique saint remy and its museum. And that is one of the place where Champagne wine is made.
Have a nice trip |

Are you under the impression that two weeks is a long time to devote to seeing Paris?
Its not.
There are, for example, 35,000 works of art in the Louvre alone. If you tried to look at all of them in two weeks that would mean viewing 2500 artworks a day every single day for every day of the two weeks.
Add the works of art to be found in the Musee D'Orsay, Centre Pompidou, Cluny Museuim, Museum of the City of Paris, Rodin Museum, Orangerie, Musée du Quai Branly, Museum of Decorative Arts, and the dozen other museums in Paris and two weeks doesn't seem very long at all does it?
And even if you want to simply get out of the city for a bit then there are a variety of places worthy of a visit that make excellant day trips from Paris including Versailles, Chantilly, Fontainebleau and Reims.
Do yourself a favor and take the time to relax into Paris. Wander around, explore the side streets, discover little restaurants and cafes away from the tourist throngs, become a "regular" at the cafe closest to your hotel, hang out and make some friends.
It makes more sense to get to know the city a bit better than the average tourist than to simply to rack up a list of places you've been but never really seen. |

Saint-Rémy-de-Provence was the birthplace of Nostradamus,
The painter Vincent van Gogh was treated here in the psychiatric center at Monastery Saint-Paul de Mausole (1889-1890).
Princess Caroline of Monaco and her children lived in Saint-Rémy for several years following the death of her second husband, Stefano Casiraghi.
ive always dreamed of going to the vineyards of provence |

You can get over to England via the chunnel. I'm not sure how long that takes. There is also a ferry that runs between England and France. I took it a while back and from what I remember it was about a 2.5 hr. ride. Best of luck and have fun! |
