Buy a bike in Dijon?

Hi , im going to Dijon for three weeks, and was hoping to purchase a bike over their, instead of renting one each day. Are their bike shops over their or is it possible to rent bikes for long times over their.? thanks

Lots of second hand websites, here's an example, they look pretty cheap to me: http://www.marche.fr/velos-vtt_velos-vtt-dijon-ville-7221-s453.html

Have you checked the French yellow pages? Enter CYCLES (even though "vélo" is the most common way to refer to a bicycle in conversation) where it says "Quoi, Qui", and DIJON where it says "Où". Have a great trip by the way.

hey, their are loads of bike shops over there, i would honestly look at buying one that is light, possibly a town and trail, or hybrid cycle, as these bikes are made for road ccling but are comfortable, they can also be bought quite cheap and well you can seel them on easily. As far as renting one i would avoid this as you'll be spending the same amount of money as actually buying one, plus if you dont magane to sell it, shipping one over back to here is very cheap, of you could even take it on a train back!!!

Hope this helps you a bit!

Hi,

Dijon is my hometown, I think you don't need to buy a new bike. Just rent one some days. The new system of renting looks very cheap. (In many cities in France you can now rent bikes for really few bucks).

Also you can walk around the city, it is not that big. We have a good bus network.
If you'd in Dijon for few weeks, you can have a jump to some close cities like "Beaune" (20 mn by train); this is also a very interesting place.
