I don't know what you mean exactly by go to France alone, but with your parents' consent yes, you can absolutely travel on your own.
Most airlines let minors travel alone but the conditions differ from airline to airline. Ask when you book your ticket.
Once in France travel by train is OK too, there is no restriction for you.
As for accomodation, a minor (anyone under 18) can enter a contract as long as they have written parental consent. It means making all hotel reservations from home through your parents. Accepting the reservation will be at hotel manager's discretion though.
In other words, traveling to France is the easy part, staying there requires some pre-arranged form of accomodation. |

I don't see why not unless there is something in your country's laws that doesn't allow this, or something in French law that doesn't allow it... I went to France on my own, the first time, unchaperoned, with my 14 year old brother, when I was 16 too. It was great! We went to EuroDisney (now it's called Disneyland Europe), stayed in Paris and went on a tour of the champagne region, Reims. We were there for 2 weeks and had so much fun and improved our French. Our parents called us everyday to check in on us and make sure we were having a good time. I guess it all depends on your circumstances... |

Yes, if you prepare it very well there will be no problems. But book your hotel, flight and day trips in advance and be careful- don't go out late at night. http://us.franceguide.com/ ask the tourism information where you should go. But maybe its better to stay there as an au pair or to attend a French language course. In France is no law that you can't book a hotel.... but plan it very well in advance and I think it would be more safe if you would go with a friend of yours. Usually you will need a credit card for hotel reservations. Be aware of thief's. If your parents support you should go to France...

Lots of kids under 16 live in France with no problem. But they are mainly French.
It's probably safer in France than where you live. |

Why not?? Is there some American law that prohibits it? I don't think so, would be kinda stupid. I'm not American, but I flew to Spain alone with the age of 12. So, you're certainly able to go to France!
Oh, hold on, this may confuse you. That time I was in Spain, I only travelled on my own, but I didn't spend my vacation alone (my grandma was there). The first time I travelled and I spent my vacation on my own, I was 16 years old. |

Yes, there ARE laws. You are a minor and can not legally travel out of the country without your parents consent. You need to be an adult to rent a room there.S o there answer is no. |
