My friend is in France and I want to mail her a care package, including candy and other snack goodies. Is this okay? Are we allowed to mail packages overseas containing food? |

American and Canadian students do get care packages (usually cookies, candy, chips, etc.). Be sure that the items are non-perishable. No fresh meats or produce should be included. If your friend is American, she'll love Oreo cookies which are hard or impossible to find in France. Just take your package to the post office and they will tell you which forms to fill out. You might want to insure the package or send it registered. |
