Can Indian passport holder with UK visit visa, enter france?

Show all answers

A A
Nope. Never. You need to get Shanzen VISA to enter france.

safiya d
You will need to check with the French Authority http://www.consulfrance-londres.org here you will find the most reliable answer. Note that if you need a visa, you will have to apply for a Schengen Visa which will allow you to visit the rest of Schengen states e.g. Spain, Germany, Portugal, Belgium, Holland, Austria, Italy etc...

shaun_ca
The answer is ofcourse not.... Here is the explanation:

Just because UK and france are next to each other doens't mean one has the obligation of entertaining the other one's guests. Which you are if you have a visit visa. Each country has its own rules and you can't say would this country do this because its neighbor does this.

Now the facts. Each country has contracts with certain other countries to let its citizens visit without applying for a visa. I know US, Canadian, UK, Australian and a lot of other western countreis don't need visa for visit among each other. India as far as I know doesn't have any such contracts atleast in the western hemisphere.

With an Indian passport, you will need a visa to visit every country in Europe, and elsewhere with very few exceptions
However with a USA passport, most countries in Europe and eslewhere do not require a visa, it is issued at the airport with a nominal fee. Some countries exempt USA citizens. Some East-European contries may have a visa requirement

penny_com20022000
Definitely not ! They are both Europe but different visa. France belongs to Schengen Countries so you need to apply schengen visa. Once you get a schengen visa, you can visit all 15 schengen countries. Schengen countries are: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Greece, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain and Sweden.
All depends on the place(s) you want to visit. If you intend to visit only one Schengen country, you must apply at the Embassy or Consulate of that particular country. You apply at the Embassy or Consulate responsible for the state where you live.

If you intend to visit several Schengen countries, you must apply for a visa at the Embassy or Consulate of the country which is your main destination.

If you intend to visit several Schengen countries but do not have a main destination, you should apply for a visa at the Embassy or Consulate of the country which is your first point of entry.
