Everything is a matter of definition, i.e. "cheap", "reasonable" "near"

Whne I stay in a hotel, as oppossed to renting an apartnment (which I do when I stay more than a couple of weeks) I suually stay at the St. Andre des Arts at 66 rue St. Andre des Arts in the 6th arrondissment (http://www.france-hotel-guide.com/h75006saintandredesarts.htm) . Its just a short walk to Notre Dame, the Louvre, the Pantheon, etc etc. A double with breakfast included and all taxes costs just 91 € which is dirt cheap for central Paris and this fabulous location. They have at least one two room suite suitable for four guests for 127 €.

On the other hand there's no elevator, no mini-bars, no TV, no in-room movies, ice machines, or room service. . Moreover breakfast consists of cafe au lait, hot chocolate or tea plus a basket of baguettes from the bakery around the corner and butter and jam. i.e. no waffle station, fruit loops, Special K or scrambled eggs with bacon bits. Which is to say it is nothing at all like the Motel 8 in Omaha

We stayed at Hotel Antin Saint Georges and loved it. The rooms are tiny, but we could see the metro stop from our balcony. Everyone spoke English and was very helpful. We booked it through samsclub.com and got the room for $125 per night. I know they have larger rooms as well.

I stayed in a hotel called Londres et Anvers which is on Magenta ave? and about 5 mins walk from Gare du Nord ( and metro) Sacre Coeur is within walking distance...but the rooms are small! It is still the smallest room I ever stayed in ( by myself I am not sure what the family rooms are)

I work in the travel industry, and I always refer my clients and my friends to the website BookMe. You can compare prices on all the major travel websites and save lots of money. Good luck, and check out the link below.

Hotel Residence du Palais has fairly spacious rooms. They also have triples, which would be perfect for a family. The downside is that toilets are shared. However, each room has its own shower. It's in a good location, directly across the street from Jardin du Luxembourg.
