well there's this hostel in the LATIN QUARTER which is a very nice place:
centre international de sejour BVJ Paris-Quartier Latin (map pp 102-4; tel: 0143293480; bvj@wanadoo.fr ; 44 rue des bernandins, 5e; metro Maubert Mutualite; 1/2/6-bed r per person 35/28/26 euro; this left bank hostel is branch of the centre international BVJ paris-louvre all of the rooms include en suite showers n telephones.
i personally stayed in St.jacques which is a mid ranged hotel, its an adorable place whp balaconies overlook the Pantheon . audrey hepburn and cary grant, who filmed some scenes of Charade here a half century-ago, would commend the mod cons that now ocmplement the original 19-century details (ornamented ceilings, iron staircase and so on) but sadly the service have slipped a notch or two since the last visit. the single rooms r pretty spacious but not all of them have toilette. the furniture is kinda old too.
anyways most of the hotels r old there..or very expensive..or both!most of them (because they r usually old designed and in old buildings dont have a toilette or without a shower in rooms..u can try them..after all its just for sleeping u know.. save the money for other things ..plus a good location will save u alot of money on taxi's and stuff..its just cool to walk around.
and the hostels r a great option. u should be lookin for any one thats in a good location (ofcourse as long as its clean).
i hope this have been helpful to u, if so rate me :P |

Fear not! There are plenty of choices for exacly your situation. There are two links below, the first is to Twizi.com and their Paris map of places to stay for less than 25 dollars. (alot of the places they list are hotels normally used by students)
The second link is to tradition moderately prices hotels. Good luck, you are going to love Paris! |

Double rooms at the Hotel Bonselais in Montmarte near Metro-Abesses are 35 Euros per night. Yes, cheap. But you have to share a tiny hallway bathroom. The rooms are charming and have great views. But, don't expect any ammenities.
The only time I ever had a private room in Paris, I paid 180 Euros per night and I was so grateful for that price. Good luck! |

pls forget about the answer reccomending the Metro Absesses area. It is not for young women. It's where the Moulin Rouge is located and the area is filled with prostitutes and skeevy men. It is also not near the Arc or the Eiffel Tour. I'd recommend the Novatel in La Defense accessible by all metro lines. It's a major gathering point for business etc. Check a map of Paris and you'll see how easy it is to follow with colorcoded lines. Familiarize yourself with it before you go. if you are good with a metro map. It's easy to get around on the train and the hotel if very nice & modern European.Use the weekly passes for the metro-much cheaper than daily and you can ride endlessly. |
