I can recommend few hotels not too expensive situated in Paris
Hotel Prelude Gare Du Nord around 40 euros per night
Hotel Armstrong around 31 euros (20th district )
Hotel Mondia ** around30 euros (11th heart of paris)
Hotel Garden around 40 euros (11th heart of paris)
Hotel Bastille around 40 euros (heart of paris )
Hotel Ermitage around 38 euros (20th )
Hotel de la Terrasse around 45 euros
Most of them are located either in the 20district (east of paris but direct subway to go to the heart of paris ,10-12min by the subway to be in the heat of paris )i know it because i used to live in the 20th district in Paris and it is very close to heart of paris with the line 3.

I have stayed at the Hotel St. Andre des Arts dozens of times over the last 30+ years. Its basic but charming and friendly. The location is excellant just a short walk to Notre Dame, the Louvre, the Musee D'Orsay, and the Cluny. The Odeon Metro stop is on the next block.
