I'll suggest you Hotel Ascot Opera-rue Monsigny.It's not an expensive one and it's very well located, just in the centre of Paris, but in a very quite area.From the hotel you can enjoy of Paris life's during all the day and night. Bon voyage!

Best area Fourth Arrondisment

I suggest the 7th arrondisement (district). This is considered one of the most tourist-y and safest of the districts, located in the vicinity of the Eiffel Tower and Hotel des Invalides. Two of my favorite hotels are listed below; both are conveniently located near two metro stops and are also near multiple restaurants and shops.

1. Hotel Leveque

Excellent location; Rue Cler is a Pedestrian-only street that is absolutely adorable. As for the service at Leveque, they're excellent English-speakers and very friendly. The only suggestion I have is that the breakfasts aren't worth 8 Euros. It's better to walk down Rue Cler and buy something from an authentic French vendor. The price for a room, however, is extremely reasonable. Check out the website for more info.
2. Hotel Muguet-a bit more moderately priced

This is also in the 7th arrondisement, but it's not on Rue Cler. It's down a side street though, so it's quiet.
The breakfasts are good, the staff is excellent, and they have internet access! It's not free, but it's not expensive. If you've got a medium-sized budget for hotels, stay at Muguet.

The Latin Quarters are good, and Champs-Elysses is right in the center of the big shopping district. Either would be nice. Just stay out of the Bercy area and out of the Red Light District. Okay to visit, not the place you want to stay though.

I like the north half of the 6th or the nearby area of the 5th or 7th. It's an older area and close to a lot of attractions if you like to walk and there are of course metro stations all over for going a bit further. There are many interesting hotels in that area, mostly in older buildings, and I've stayed in a few (multi-star as well as modest.) I won't make a specific recommentation but suggest you consult one or more of the many online "lists." You can generally trust the rating systems (but there is always a chance for a clunker!) and you can make a decision based on your preference for fanciness versus budget.

My favorite area is the Marais (4th). Close to everything and the stores stay open on Sundays.

If it's your first time in Paris, the 6th is nice (albeit a little touristy). It is also quite central and close to everything. There's a hotel there called the Hotel Luxembourg that I've never stayed at but looked really nice.

The most expensive area is the 16th districte (le "16eme" or Paris 16), the nicest is probably Saint-Germain or Paris 13, but other districts are also OK.

My best friend and I went to Paris last September. We stayed in a little hotel in the Latin Quarter, very easy subway access and fairly inexpensive. For seeing Paris I recommend the Bateau Bus, its a river ferry that stops at all the sites along the way including the Louvre, Eiffel Tour, Champs D'Elysee, etc. Its a wonderful way to see the city.

the best area the 8th,the 15th and 16th arrndissement.(8th near the Champs-Elysees).you have to pay so much.
