I just booked a trip to Paris and instead of staying in a hotel, we're renting an apartment from www.vrbo.com; it's an independant website where people list their aprats form all over the world. I generally prefer to stay in an apartmetn because you can cook and have a little more room to spread out than in a hotel room. Ofcourse, if you are into amenities, then by all means, get a hotel. Oh, and apts are gernerally cheaper. |

I found viamichelin very good - you can see a selection of hotels of all prices and obtain location maps at the same time. It is French-owned by one of the definitive guides and map publishers in France, but has an English site. |
