No, but there is a train to take you to Gare du Nord where you can get the metro. Takes about 40 mins

no you can't.
You must take the RER B (at stations like Chatelet, Gare du Nord, Luxembourg) and then go to CDG Roissy (there's two stations, depending on the terminal of your flight)...

Visit the link below. If you click on the map, you'll see the two options mentioned above. The RER B, which is a like a subway, and the RoissyBus which is... a bus.

I will recommend AVOIDING Chatelet if you can. Unless something has changed since I was there, it is the stinkiest of all stations - if you are at all sensitive STAY ON THE TRAIN and backtrack if you must. But, yes, the RER is the only train to take from ChDG
