Recommend the Chunnel train. It's faster, takes about 2.5 hours. I took it in one direction, not round-trip. I recommend going First Class.

The Eurostar is definitely the best way to get to Paris. You need to check in around 30 minutes before departure and prepare yourself for airline style security checks and immigration controls.

Eurostar tickets can be expensive if bought on the spot so I would recommend booking in advance as early as possible in order to get the price and seat you want.

Trains are frequent and run from WATERLOO INTERNATIONAL (not Liverpool Street) direct to the GARD DU NORD in Paris.

Waterloo is a major station and is easily accessible by Bus, Tube (London Underground - Northern, Bakerloo, Jubilee lines) and obviously the main line trains from the South West.

Getting a bus would take way too long for a day trip. Also remember that France is on CET and not GMT time, so there is an hour difference in timezones (CET is +1hr)

and for a guide to some Paris sights have a look at:

If you do have more than a day I would highly recommend an overnight stay. Accommodation can be very cheap and there are many package deals available.

Take the high speed rail under the chunnel, (channel tunnel) it takes 2.5 hours and the cost is about 100 euro one way, or sometimes there are specials for 150 r/t. You can buy the ticket on the spot, go for coach class if you dont want to spend too much. 2.5 hours isnt long enough to enjoy the perks of first class. Trains leave the liverpool street station about every 30 minutes.

Chunnel train is the fastest way to go city center to city center, but book in advance, as the day of travel it can get *quite* expensive. Back and forth in the same day could be pushing it, London is a big city, try and stay just one night if you can.

you could but you would have to get you really early and stay you real late so i woldent do it
