Quite cheap, though not neccessarily cheerful, the HÃ´tel Tiquetonne at 6 rue Tiquetonne in the 2nd arrondissment, is a classic cheap sleep in Paris. A double with ensuite WC and shower costs 50 â‚¬. Somewhat less cheap but defintely cheerful is my favorite, the HÃ´tel St AndrÃ© des Arts at 66 rue St AndrÃ© des Arts in the 6th. A double with ensuite WC and shower costs 89.00 â‚¬. You might check out Le Quartier Hotel, Bastille Le Faubourg. I stayed there last September and got a pretty decent deal on the room. It's a simple hotel, but very lean and comfortable. It's not right in the center of Paris, but getting to all the attractions from the hotel is a breeze since it's situated between two Metro stops which are only a 5 minutes walk away.

The Family residence is not expensive at all, clean, very well located, in Paris 15, with the advantages of an apart'hotel.
The residence Chlorophylle is quite nice, located in Arcueil, but very close to Paris Porte d'Orleans, (Paris 14), with buses to go to Paris.
