For a week long stay in Paris, consider staying in a furnished flat, rather than a hotel. The rooms are larger, they have small kitchens, and they have great security. Also look at staying just outside Paris in areas like La Defense. Any place close to the Metro. Then you can jet into town and save a bit on rates. But it's all expensive...
I haven't been in quite a while, so don't remember the names of the places I stayed. But the ideas should still be valid, even if the actual places have changed. I would check with a good travel agent armed with this knowledge. |

The Hotel de Roubaix (http://www.hotel-de-roubaix.com/) is a fantastic Hotel. It is very small, and looks like it has not been updated in about 30 years, but it is clean and very cheap!!! For a triple room with a bathroom, we paid about 80 dollars per night. We went there on a school trip. It is a short walk from Notre Dame and a block away from the nearest subway. It also includes the famous French continental breakfast of baguette and coffee or hot chocolate (hot chocolate is fantastic). Mr. Pierre is a very nice man and he does a great job of running his hotel. |

Clean, inexpensive and very plain (no TV, no mini-bar, no elevator) but my favorite hotel in Paris. |

Paris has no cheap hotels. However, medium price hotels can be found at http://www.etaphotel.com (€50 a room for 3 people).
Formule 1 hotel are cheap, but you should move to the outskirt of Paris to find one. |

Maybe get a few ideas or names of hotels and locations, by looking up sites like - tripadvisor.com, and letsgo, and fodors travel books etc.
Im sure they would have some info & links to hotels. ok |
