Terminal 2 is the best
Why ?
because it is Air France terminal and there is a TGV station and RER station and lot of restaurants and shops.

Also this terminal is the biggest so easier to find your luggage, assistance and immigration queues are reduced. Also it is newer.

1) At CDG, the airport terminal you'll be using is chosen according to the plane company you're using. (see link below for list of companies for each terminal)

2) the signs are there. You're just not used to the way we put them. It's only confusing to you because it's not your own airport.

3) if you're really sensible to the layout of the place, don't use a charter company to go to CDG, all charter companies go to airport 3 which looks more like a warehouse than an airport terminal.

PS: take the cheapest. both terminals look the same to me. guess my answer isn't really helpful, then... have a nice day anyway

I have to fly through this airport about 1x a week. It isn't terrible. But it isn't the best.

T1 & T2 are really not so different so take the best priced flight.

However, if you are indifferent to price then take T1 if you need to get a taxi. It is closer to town and usually the taxi line is short.

If you are taking the train into town, then T2 is much better located.

Finally - if you are going to the North of Paris, then flying into Orly isn't a bad option. Now it is not the nicest airport. But it is faster to get into town if you are going to the South of Paris especially!

Hi,

I have just been to CDG airport once and that was in May flying home from vacation (flew in to Germany).

We were in Terminal 1 I believe.

Our day started off horrible because there were "suspicious" packages found so they had to evacuate the airport. We stood for about 1/2 to 45 minutes outside. Luckily we had arrived just before they closed the road in.

We had no problem finding our boarding gate, etc. It was really well laid out...our gate was just past the security check. The only thing I didn't like was that our plane was parked in some other area about a 10-15 bus ride (they pick you up from the gate though). I just didn't like standing on the hot bus that's all.

I have to say the airport itself was fine. We didn't have any problems.

I'm back from Paris few days ago. The arival and the departure were on/from terminal B2 and everything was Ok. The airport is modern, clean and you'll be safe. So, enjoy your trip !
