Cheap hotels in Paris?
I think it might be time again to book a weekend trip to Paris. From London its only a short train ride or quick and cheap airfare. http://www.cheaphotels24.co.uk I did a bit of reasearch on that and had not much luch. All hotels are not that cheap. But I keep trying. Perhaps I ll stay a bit further outside Paris, in France country side.
I just went to the Paris on Friday. This was my first time driving to Paris from Germany. It was a lot easier than I thought. I stayed at the Ibis Hotel in Champs de Marne, here's the website
http://www.ibishotel.com/gb/home/index.shtml
It only cost me 53 Euros a night plus 7 Euros for breakfast the next day. I will be going back again in the fall and I will be making reservations at the same place. The train station was only a four minute walk from the hotel. When you look for a hotel, try to find one close to the train station, we were only 20 minutes by train from Paris for 7 Euro per person for a round trip. I stayed right in between Paris and Euro Disney. I'm sure you can find a good hotel on the west side of Paris, but you will pay more if you stay in the city.

The Hotel Tiquetonne at 6 rue Tiquetonne in the 2nd arr. is what you're looking for. Singles as low as 30 euros a night and doubles for 50 euros.
Staying in the suburbs makes absolutely no sense. The Public transport system grinds to a halt just a bit after midnight except for a few Night buses. Remember Paris is a place where people don't even eat dinner until 9:00 PM and where nothing really gets going until 11 or so.
Of course if you're going to just spend the days museum viewing and then plan on going back to your hotel for a quiet nights sleep I suppose that's okay.
