Any time is a good time to visit Paris. It can be very cold in February, but on the other hand, there will be far less people to visit Notre Dame and maybe you won't have to queue for hours in the heat to see the Louvre.
You can see fabulous skies in February: use buses (when it's not rush hour) and there can be a light mist over the river Seine in early morning hours. Beautiful.
Travelling alone in Paris is fine for a lady. It is safer than many big cities. Just avoid certain areas late at night. |

February is probably not the most "ideal time." It's cold and grey. |

Paris in February is certainly going to be cold. The average temperature will be 2 degrees C (37.4 degrees F). Sudden showers and brief spells of slushy snow are not uncommon.
On the other hand, there's a lot to be said for going at a time when tourists are few starting with the fact that you're likely to get the best deals on airfare and accomodations.
February also marks the final days of the winter sales and is therefore a great time to go shopping.
As for traveling alone, Paris is a very safe city and you should have few concerns about safety. Pickpockets are generally the only type of criminals you have to worry about. |

I visitied Paris in Feb by myself and it was fine.
The weather was pretty much grey and cool (but not cold...I never wore a coat, just my thin jacket, log sleeved top, scarf and glooves...but I prefer cooler weather to hotter weather.
I did have a day out of 5 with blue sky (well it was parts of most days)...I don;t think it rained as such however.
I tended to stay in during the evenings (but my tv only had french speaking...so I watched "Friends" in french) but it did get a bit lonely not having any English spoken. I was in an area with lots of resterraunts nearby and didn't have to g too far for food and I usually had early dinners to avoid crowds (as its a but self conscious eating alone).
I did a couple of tour guided trips which was nice for a change, some English converstation and meeting people. I went to Versailles, but there are many you can do (look for a website with "Viator" for some options).
Walking the streets in the day time felt perfectly safe and when I visited the Pere Lachaise cemetary which is very quiet, I felt ok!
Have fun and Viva la france! |

It is the coldest period in France. I would definitely suggest u to come over between April and September.
However between July and August the weather is TOO hot in southern France. |
