Disneyland Paris - worth the trip? |
I have one spare day in Paris and can't decide if Euro disney is worth going to.
There will be two of us in our early 30's - no kids .
I have never been to an amusement park before - sad I know!
So what are peoples thoughts on Disney Paris? |

If you're going to be in Paris for a few years, if you've seen every one of the thousands and thousands of masterpieces in the Louvre and the dozens of other museums in Paris, if you've checked out every one of the thousands of historical venues and walked every single street of the city, then and only then, might it be worth taking the time to go to some tacky, sterile, mass market, low brow, cookie cutter, theme park designed for not particularly bright children.
A "spare day" in Paris? I'm not sure there is such a thing. Take a day trip to Versailles, or Fontainbleu, or Malmaison if you really think you've exhausted the possibilities of Paris itself. |

depends where you are from, if the states, then I say you are out of your mind for going to disney when you are in paris. I would spend a day walking the Seine, lingering over espresso at a cafe, wandering in the tullieries before disney any time. Heck go to Epernay and drink champagne |

I've never been to Disneyland Paris, but I have been to Paris and I must say - why would you waste your time in that amazing city going to an amusement park? There's always something else to do in Paris, even if you've seen the major sites. Just absorb the city and experience it.
What sites/places in Paris do you have on your itinerary? Perhaps if we knew what you were planning on seeing, we could offer additional places you may enjoy. |

If you haven't ever been to Disneyland or Disneyworld, then you shouldn't be disappointed. There are two parks, Disneyland Paris, and Walt Disney Studio Park. Don't waste your time on the Studios park.
Fortunately, most employees speak english, however, as with French culture, they are still rude, so you won't get the awesome Disney experience as you would at Disneyland or Disneyworld.
Just be forewarned, (I know this from personal experience) if you are traveling in the summer, take a nice body spray, people in France stink, and don't wear deodorant. The lines are no fun, especially when they smell like body odor!!
As a Disney fanatic, I am glad that I saw Disney Paris, but I would never do it again! |
