hmmmm......

Like the first answerer stated : this is very old fashioned !!

Like in any country you get everything really.

I am not sure how to describe it but there is less of a puritanism mentality than in Anglophone countries.

girls/boys and men/women mix along much better without that particular cloud " he is after one thing only".

It is a different mentality which is difficult to describe ( especially now for me...am tired!).

In general.........they are more cultured but I mean in general than other nationalities as a stereotype and will engage you in conversations.

But at the same time they kind of realise that there is a difference between men and women. Same for women actually. Each want to look good, attractive and do not necessarily follow the rules that " everybody is the same no matter what gender".

hmmm..will come back later..

I think I will come back to this when I think a bit more about it..

According to the Collectif Féministe contre le Viol and SOS Femmes there are at least 25,000 cases of rape in France every year.

I should mention that 91 % of those convicted those convicted of rape are of French nationality as the French often cite foreigners as the source of the problem.

Anecdotal evidence is probably not a very good method of making broad generalizations about who is or is not a gentleman.

I'm french, but I won't go around and kiss women's hand, that's very old fashion and stereotypical, and most french men don't do it... But I'm a gentleman for sure, like many men around the world.

French men are not like they are portrayed on some movies
