Do French universities generally have spring breaks?

I will be in Lille, France from January 2008 to June 2008 at the L'Institut d' Politiques for a study abroad program. I'm wondering if it is typical of French Universities to give their students a spring break and if so when it generally is.

thanks :)

'"springbreak" as such is only a US thing - I'm sure there are holidays at Eastertime.

izzpill
there is a sping break around mid-february and a second one around eastern, but this is a very short one.

Yes, all universities in France have spring break.
Since you are in Lille, your will be:
Saturday, April 5th to Monday April 21st.
If you speak French, check this website from the Education National. Your "zone" is Zone B for Lille.

Yes, it's usually around April.
Check the web site for this university.

Typically schools and universities take two weeks off in February, since all the French go skiing this month, and Easter is also a big holiday time.

Generally, there is no "Spring Break" in France like we know it in the States.

luca
Yes, in april, just before the exam (may and june). So it is not as in Cancun with everybody making party...
