Not only will you and your grand-daughter need an individual passport each, but, unless you are her legal guardian and have written proof of this, you are required by law to have a letter signed by her parents or legal guardian allowing you to take her out of the UK. The letter has to have their name, address and contact telephone number on it. This has become a requirement to prevent people from abducting young children and spiriting them off to another country. |

If you're both UK citizens I think it would be whatever the usual thing is in EU nations. If one or both of you is a citizen elsewhere, it would be whatever France requires. Why not ask a travel agent or do a bit of searching on the internet? |
