There are no temporary passports anymore

There is no such a thing as temporary passport. You need a regular "full" passport. Have fun in paris

If you are a native of any of the EEC countries, all you need is a valid ID. A passport is superfluous to travel in the common market countries. If you are swiss or from any other country outside the EEC you'll need a valid passport.

get a full one but in theory some id with a photo (like a driving licence) should be okay for a uk citizen

you need a full passport. Temp passports dont exist anymore. Go to the passport office very early in the morning and flutteryour eyelashes and youll get it sorted in a day.

Careful of those theorists! hehe
