Yes of course.

All children no matter what age have to have their own as well now.

ellerose
Yes of course.

Until we got ID cards then we can use them as well and really be tracked by the Government!

laurachick

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

If you are a British Citizen or British Subject with Right of Abode in the United Kingdom, you will not need a visa to enter France. Other British passport holders should confirm the current entry requirements with the nearest French Diplomatic mission. All British passport holders require a valid passport. There is no minimum passport validity requirement but you should ensure that your passport is valid for the proposed period of your stay.

Single parents or other adults travelling alone with children should be aware that some countries require documentary evidence of parental responsibility before allowing lone parents to enter the country or, in some cases, before permitting the children to leave the country. For further information on exactly what will be required at immigration please contact the French Embassy in London. (Website link to French Embassy: http://www.ambafrance-uk.org).

Hope this helps,

Kind regards, Wendy

If your Country/ Community, whatever, was living by the normal European rules he just needed to have his ID Card, what you use to prove your Identity. You are from Brittan, is an European country, but because the Government insist to live in the old times, your son needs a passport to prove "is Brittish". That's it. Go to the Post Office, where everybody can go ask for an identity, and ask for a simple Passport.

Yes you need a current uk passport to travel anywhere outside the united kingdom.
