It would be at least 60 € and the trip is 40 minutes to well over an hour long depending on traffic. The airport is really far from the city and traffic around Paris can be awful. Other options are:

- RER B (fast commuter train) to Châtelet-les-Halles in Paris + métro line 14 to St-Lazare:
52 minutes (door to door including walking time), 8.60 €

- Roissy Bus. It goes to the Opera House (much closer than the Air France bus) which is only two métro stops away from St-Lazare (line 3, direction Pont de Levallois): about an hour from CDG, 8.60 € for the bus + 1.50 € for the métro ticket.

- a shared shuttle service: about an hour to an hour and a half:
12 € to 30 €: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AghpIDLh8GHIAeSx_WZaOwjty6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20071201122208AA4oQts&show=7#profile-info-6yXzW4TNaa

At most times of the day, the RER is the fastest solution.

A lot of : it depends!
...on the time you arrive...
(I arrived in Paris around 8 am...the time to get from CDG to downtown it took about 1.5 hours with traffic...)
...so if there is traffic, the fare will be more...

Have a good suggestion for you:
http://www.parishuttle.com/
It's a shuttle bus, so there will be other passengers and may take longer. However, it's a fixed price: 25 euros. Very simple to use, and the drivers speak English.

Taxi will be faster, but a lot more expensive. I'd budget 50-100 euros for a taxi.

about the fare I don't know but I'd say at least 60 euros

I've been on mappy.com site and it says it would take 33 minutes. I think it would take longer because of the traffic.

Hope this helps, or at least gives you an approximate idea.

It is not possible to answer. It depends on the day and time. at 8 a.m. maybe two yours on mondays. 30 mn on sundays.
and taxidrivers are going on strike these days.
My advice : use the train. It should take about 60-70 minuts.

I agree with Millie. My experience from four trips to Paris is that taking a cab is not worth the expense. The RER/Metro is easy to navigate, faster, and cheaper. I'm not sure about the St. Lazare metro station, but I know that Chatelet has escalators if you're concerned about carrying luggage up and down stairs because I've stayed twice in an apartment near there.

Hi

Near 30mins if no traffic jams.
at pick hours, it could take more than 1 hour.

By car is exactly 24.8 km according to google maps it will take you approx. 27 min to get there but by my own experience I can tell you it can take you up to 75 minutes because its a very congested area

The cab prices in Roissy Charles de Gaulle area varies from $1.50 to as much as $3 per mile, the prices are not fixed and the price still growing even when the car is stopped plus you have to pay the airport pickup surcharge, so believe it or not often a taking a limo is cheaper than a cab! And unlike taxis, limo rates are fixed.

Another option is http://www.taxi-paris.net/pge-pariscab-eng.html where you can hire a minivan driven by english speaken persons for a fixed rate of 88 euros form Airport CDG to any train station in Paris area.

You can take as well the air France coach service departing like every 30 minutes from the airport to the arc de triomphe area for only 10 euros per person and you buy the ticket to the driver

After all I still think the best way to get to St. Lazare is using the RER trains that are linked to the paris Underground system so you can get from CDG to St. Lazare in approx 1 hour making only one transfer between lines and it will cost you around 6 euros
you can check the Paris underground and RER map here -->http://www.ratp.info/picts/plans/gif/reseaux/rer.gif

Hi Jordan D

If there is no traffic and if you are in a rush, take a cab.
Cost is about 40 € and time less than 30 minutes.
To do that : before 7:00am or after 8pm
Between 10 am and 3pm, it would also be OK.

Other than that take the Air France Bus (this is what locals do) 20€ roundtrip. It is fast, secure and regular (every 13 minutes). From Arc de Triomphe (last stop) take a cab for 5 minutes (10 mn if traffic) to St Lazare station.

Do not take the RER, it will be way too long, unless you are 100% sure that it is rush hour AND there is a snow storm.

I have been living in Paris for more than 20 years.....
