There are loads of websites ((do a search)) but you will probably have to do the leg work to find out which is the best value. It all depends on how big the cottage is, what time of year you want to rent it and where it is The further north in France you are the cheaper it will be for example Brittany is usually cheaper than the Cote ' D' Azur. Camping holidays are an alternative and again sometimes slightly cheaper than renting a cottage and you have the choice of being in a tent or caravan. Hope this helps.

Try this website
www.bretagneloc.com

It's in french, but the rentals cover all the area in Brittany, which is a lovely part of France to visit in the summer
Here's another one:
Interhome
15 avenue Jean Alcard
75011 PARIS

e-mail: info@interhome.fr

Hope you will find what you need.
Have a nice holiday!

You could try
http://www.gites-de-france.fr/eng/index.htm
It's the official website for "gites", ie houses people rent, but with a certain standard.

There are a lot of nice places in France : Brittany (weather rather cold), Dordogne, Provence, Drome, etc.

alan

You will find a few property rentals website in the accomodation category of the online directory I have started:
http://www.offrench.net/photos/directory/accomodation/

I need to add more, but the ones listed already provide a lot of opportunities.

If value for money was what you are looking for then it is worth checking out Thomson Al Fresco - they have very sizabe and comfortable portable homes on well appointed sites.

They have all the home comforts and are all situated in areas with loads to do on your doorstep - particularly handy if you have kids.

I have just done a search and was able to get a week for £250!!
